父爱Father’s Love

Peoplealways say that father’s love is so quiet but grand that it seems like amountain. They always bury their love to children deep in the bottom of their heartsand never show it. Father seldom says I love you to their children or doessomething show it. Mother often tells us to eat more and put on more clothes,but father doesn’t. I was born in a very poor section of Brooklyn on December 7,1941. There were five persons in my family including my father, my mother, my two sisters and myself. I was the only son, and my childhood was spent playing in the streets with the other boys and getting into troubles. I was often punished by my parents and teachers.

After elementary school, where I had been an average student, I went to a vocational high school in my neighborhood. My friends were all boys who cared nothing about studying and my grades went from bad to worse.

From the time I entered the second high school, I began to take an interest in my studies and my grades improved. I started to listen to the other students discuss intelligent issues and soon I began to take part in. One day, someone asked me to join the Negro Culture Club where the students discussed the contributions of the Negro race. Now my eyes were really opened. For the first time, I learned that my race had many famous people who had played an important role in world history. I was filled with a new sense of pride and self-respect. From then on, I read every book in the school library on Negro history. Also during these high school years, I met many officials from the new African nations. Because most of them spoke French, I learned to speak French and then went on to teach myself Spanish. In my senior year, I was elected president of my class. My goals were now definite and I knew I want to continue my education.

Going to college was difficult for me because my family was very poor and needed my help with money. My mother, however, encouraged me and insisted that I continue my education. Therefore, when I graduated from high school, I started attending night college and working all day. After two years I changed to day college and a part-time job. Now I am a fulltime student in my junior year, majoring in international relations and economics.

It is difficult for a young man to speak of his philosophy of life, but I believe it is very important for every person to have a sense of pride and dignity in his own worth. My aim in life is to help my people become better off economically. Also, I would like to do something to help mankind and to promote brotherhood among all men of all nations, no matter what color they are.

My Dream

Once I have a lot of dreams, although those dreams are far away from me, but I still is worth when it comes to, friends to listen to a listen to!

When I was just in elementary school, I can only dream is to grow up to be a teacher. Because I looked at the teacher the great power that can imagine myself standing on the platform instruction do the students to do this, homework, batch jobs, play with my classmates. This is my first dream. My second dream is in grade four, that is to be a dancer, because mom and dad have seen it take me to a dance performance, dancers dance attracted me deeply, so I just decided to grow up to be a dancer. Before I was going to senior school, my father had never said a word to show his love to me, so that I thought he did not love me very much and sometimes I was upset about it. However, when I left home for senior school, he called me frequently and just asked me some simple questions like: how’s your study and life? When do you come home? or something like that. Gradually, I realize that he misses me although he would never say it out. So this is father’s love, not so obvious but definitely deep.

Use of Free Time

Some people may be so busy that they never have a spare moment，but it would be hard to find such people in contemporary times. Working hours are shorter and vacations longer，and there are more and more ways to spend the weekends. Aside from eating and sleeping，what do people do during the many hours when they are not at work or at school？

Use of free time often discloses much about one’s tastes，values，interests and personality. What may be one man’s leisure，however，might be another man’s work. In leisure hours，some may turn to the humanities：literature，magic，art and here we might also mention movies and television. Others participate in sports，politics，voluntary work or hobbies at home. Still others like parties，travelling，or just loafing.

Obviously，the use of free time is a good means of relaxation，but its benefits go beyond this. All things people do in leisure hours enable them to gratify their wishes. This can contribute to intellectual growth and promote social activities as well.

So the good use of free time will make life rich，colorful and rewarding.

We had a birthday party for Amy last parents bought lots of food and drinks for us.

We brought many presents for her. Each of us gave Amy a birthday card, too. We made the cards by hand. He liked them very much.

There was a big birthday cake with 13 candles on it. We all sat around the cake. Amy made a silent wish, and then he blew the candles out in one breath.

We danced, sang songs and played games at the party. Everyone had a good time.
