Advertisements are forcing their way into people’s lives. People refer to advertisements in their daily lives because they are consumers. The advertisers are usually manufacturers, retailers and salesmen. Their merchandise needs to be advertised to bring it to the attention to the customers. Thus nearly every product is advertised in some way. To a large extent, good advertising leads to success while bad advertising can mean failure.

There are many ways to advertise and ‘ads’ come in different forms. Newspapers carry advertisements. Some products are publicized on TV and radio which bring them into notice of a wide audience. Billboards also carry advertising. Advertising is a big industry now and many agencies have been set up to furnish a variety of forms.

What is more, the customers should become careful and critical about the information they see in TV. It does no harm to think twice before buying the products advertised by the stars. Finally, the government needs to tighten the control over the broadcasting of the advertisement.

with the development of the society, more and more people enroll in the postgraduate examination for getting a high diploma. it is believed that high diploma equals to high ability and profound knowledge. most companies are inclined to hire the people with high diploma. it seems that having high diploma means a better future.

however, is it really true that high diploma equals to high ability or profound knowledge? some people do not agree on this kind of idea. they claim that ability or knowledge means more than diploma. take bill gates, the head of the microsoft, for example, he does not have a mba degree which is believed to play a vital role in the success in commercial life. furthermore, sam walton of wal---mart stores inc. does not a mba degree, but they are the most successful man in commercial.

in my opinion, diploma does not equal to knowledge. a diploma is a piece of paper which establishes your education degree. but your true ability and the real knowledge come from your hard work and endowment. if you got a diploma by dishonest behavior, no matter how high a diploma it is, it were just a piece of paper, and you were as blank as that paper.

In my opinion, it is not so easy to be a hero. First,a hero must be brave. When he sees someone do a bad deed, he must be brave enough to catch him or to stop him. Secondly, he must be strong enough, otherwise he himself will be beaten to death. There are fewer heroes now because of several reasons. I think the most important reason is that people don't want to mind other people's business. Because they think it will do them no good. But I think society calls for heroes.

Fighting against crimes is not just the job of the police. It's the duty of every citizen.
