前言：死神，即死亡之神，是人们传说中的神之一。各个国家死神的含义不同，在中国死神是阴曹地府的鬼差黑白无常或牛头马面等神。在外国特别是欧美国家人们认为撒旦，即堕落天使路西法为死神，身穿黑袍，手拿象征着杀戮与制裁的镰刀，他是邪-恶、灾难和死亡的象征 。
当他的三个好友、父母、和他合作的小女孩都相继离奇死去后，他忘记了笑容，却还有一丝希望，可当收养他的阿姨也死了之后，他开始相信死神的诅咒。这个诅咒剥夺了他一切的快乐，一切与人的交流，他开始自闭，为了不再有人因为他而离开。
“她突然飞进我的人生”，一次偶然，在楼梯上抱住了一个从楼梯上摔下来的女孩，他——聪史——的生活开始有了变化。女孩主动他抢过散落在地的刑法笔记本，聪明地要到了他的所有信息。她把他家的电话当成了她的专线电话，电话的一端她总是有说不完的话。她的热情一步步击溃聪史的防线，她像一束阳光照进他的心里。
