difficulties and frustrations . But no matter what they are , I’ll keep working on it and never give up . My teacher says there ’s only one kind of people that are truly successful : those who are brave enough to put up with hardships . Even if I won’t achieve the goal , I have no regrets for what I have done , for I have struggled for my life .
A Lesson from Nature
Ladies and gentlemen: Good morning! Today, the title of my speech is A Lesson from Nature.
Around us , there are plants, animals and many other things. We live in nature, so to keep the balance of nature is very important for us. But today, too many trees are still being cut down in many countries and flood all over the world are getting more and more serious, A lot of land has gone with them. This is a lesson from nature.
When people move into a new place, they often cut down trees or pull out many wild plants to make farmland. They don’t know that trees can stop flood and wind from washing or blowing the earth away, and that many of these wild plants are food for some wild animals. If the animals can’t find enough plants to eat, they will die or have to leave the place.
In one part of the United States, for example, the deer there like to eat a kind of wild flowers. The mountain tigers there eat the deer. But people killed many mountain tigers to protect the deer. soon there were so many deer that the ate up all the wild flowers. Then the deer began to eat the green leaves of the young trees the farmers thought of ways to protect their trees, then the deer had nothing to eat and many of them died.
The number of trees, deer, tigers, wild flowers and plants has changed much—less and less. We need to do more to keep the balance of nature.

What life is about
“Good morning! Ladies and gentlemen”. Today, the title of my speech is “What life is about”
As we all know, the most important thing in life is our attitude towards it, lots of men have tried different ways of treating life, and some succeeded, some failed, and here are some of the tips they left us.
Life isn’t about keeping score. Life isn’t about your shoes or your hair or the color of your skin. In fact it’s not about if you have lots of friends or if you are alone, and it’s not about how accepted or unaccepted you are. Life just isn’t about that.
But life is about whom you love and who you hurt. It’s about how you feel about yourself. It’s about trust, happiness and compassion. Life is about avoiding jealousy, overcoming ignorance and building confidence. It’s about what you say and what you mean. It’s about seeing people for who they are and not what they have. And we should always remember to be ourselves. Other might have things that we desire but being what we really are is the only trail leading to the true colors of life. Most of all, it’s about choosing to use your life to touch someone else’s in a way that could have never been achieved otherwise.
We’ve learnt how to make a living but not a life, we’ve added years to life, but not life to years. And it is time for us to choose whether to make a difference in our life.

I love English

As everyone knows ,English is very important today. It has been used everywhere in the world. It has become the most common language on Internet and for international trade. If we can speak English well ,we will have more chance to succeed. Because more and more people have taken notice of it, the number of the people who go to learn English has increased at a high speed.
But for myself, I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulness ,but also because of my love for it. When I learn English, I can feel a different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world. What success means to me ?
Once upon a time, an old rich woman left all her property to the person who could answer her question correctly. Her question was this “what is the most important thing for a person who wants to succeed?” To my surprise, the answer was not money, not power, not even opportunity, but “ ambition”
Why is ambition so important? A person without ambition is like a near-sighted lion. All the things in the distance appear blurred. No matter how strong it is, it can’t go far.
Nowadays, the world is very competitive. Even if you get to the top of your own field, there might be still someone better than you. So we have to ask ourselves: what is the proof of success? I believe it is doing something for this world.
Remember: As a successful person, in addition to ambition, the other key you must hold is love. When you look back at history, you’ll find you were standing on the shoulders of the giants. You have enjoyed what they had left you. So we should live to work for the improvement of the world. “A lovely girl ”这个节目是在去年我校举办的.第一届风采大赛上节目。我做梦都没想到 ， 以前胆小害羞的我，竟敢站在全校同学面前，用英语展现自己，获得初中组第一名。这不仅是我人生第一次尝试挑战自己。我还敢说，它必将改变我的人生，其中的收获真是太多太多了。
听说学校要进行英语风采大赛，我想向自己发出挑战，我报名了。没想到小小个子的我竟成了幸运儿，通过了全班的初赛----那时我又害怕了，但我的班主任曾灿辉老师鼓励我说：“不要怕，只要你站上了舞台，你就是第一。”杨老师也将她的左右铭，“尽己最大之努力，留下最小之遗憾”送给了我。我放松了，没那么紧张了。演讲稿还经过了几次的修改，因为当时我们刚接触英语，不能说很多，我们就用我们刚学的那几个单元的内容组合起来，介绍家庭，介绍自己的爱好----组员也经过了几次组合。杨老师想给班内更多人的机会，这几位同学差不多都不是我们决赛的成员。其中有个黄头发的叫刘慧琳的女孩———我的同学，她的头发可不是染的哦，她是从小就患有一种病，她的身体很不好。可她很喜欢英语，很想参加比赛，老师就把机会给了她，每次练习她都是最努力的一个。看到她，令我们知道了幸福的含义。
我家在农村，父母都是农民，爸爸妈妈也不懂英语， 不能在家帮助我什么。可我喜欢学习，从心底里非常喜欢英语，喜欢上英语课。我在这爆料一下——我们的Ms Yang 经常说她是“魅力女人”，这可能是原因之一吧！我虽然也已经很努力了，可毕竟我们是农村出身的孩子，老师说我的发音中带着一股乡音，我纠正了很多次，也取得了很大的进步。
我们是一个快乐的集体，我们快乐的学习，老师对我们的评价是，“你们是初生牛犊不怕虎。”通过这次的活动，我的声音成了班里女孩子当中最大的；站在台上，我也不再脸红心跳了。快乐如我，自信如我。我将不断努力，来报答老师对我们的关心和努力。

Low carbon life
As we all know, we live in the earth, the environment is in great danger. Waste of resources,
unreasonable farming, the environment becomes worse and worse. All of this, not just in the damage of our home, also in hurt ourselves.
Earth's revenge to us now . The greenhouse effect, rising sea levels and so on.
And low carbon life is our best way to remedy. So you should do lots of things to save our environment. We can do a small thing, but doing them together will become stronger.
What should we do?
1. Every day the water that clean out rice can be used to wash hands ,to wipe furniture, it is clean and natural .
2. At the bottom of the wardrobe, we can use waste newspa-pe-rs not only can absorption of moisture, but also can absorb the smell in the wardrobe;
3. Don't throw away used mask pa-pe-r, use it to wipe your jewelry, furniture surf-ace or brush belt, is not only a bright shine also can leave the mask pa-pe-r fragrance;
4. After drinking tea, put the tea leaves dry, do a tea pillow, it is comfortable, and also help improve sleep.
5. We should bring our own environmental protection bags when we go shopping.
6. Go out with drink cup and reduce the use of disposable cups.
7. Use permanent chopsticks, lunch boxes, try to avoid the use of disposable tableware.
8. We should keep good habits to shut off the electrical power, avoid the waste of electricity.
9. Try not to use refrigerators, air conditioners, we can use fan or fans.
I believe our life will be better and better, if everyone can follow a low carbon life style.
低碳生活
我们都知道，我们赖以生存的地球，环境正在急剧的恶化。资源浪费，不合理的农作、开垦正把我们的
地球逼到无法承受的地步。这一切的一切，不仅仅是在伤害我们的家园，也是在伤害我们自身。
现在地球向我们报复了。温室效应、海平面上升。。。。
而低碳的生活正是我们目前最好的补救方式--在生活的细节上注重节能减耗。
我们所能做的虽然是很小的事，但是大家的力量合起来就无比强大了。
我们能做到的:
1.每天的淘米水可以用来洗手擦家具，干净卫生，自然滋润。
2.将废旧报纸铺垫在衣橱的最底层，不仅可以吸潮，还能吸收衣柜中的异味;
3.用过的面膜纸也不要扔掉，用它来擦首饰、擦家具的表面或者擦皮带，不仅擦得亮还能留下面膜纸的香气;
4.喝过的茶叶渣，把它晒干，做一个茶叶枕头，又舒适，还能帮助改善睡眠。
5.出门购物，自己带环保袋，无论是免费或者收费的塑料袋，都减少使用。
6.出门自带喝水杯，减少使用一次性杯子。
7.多用永久性的筷子、饭盒，尽量避免使用一次性的餐具。
8.养成随手关闭电器电源的习惯，避免浪费用电。
9.尽量不使用冰箱、空调，热时可用电扇或扇子。
相信经过许多人的努力，我们的生活会变得更美好!
Healthy Diet
There are many people who think that wealth is better than health. I used to think so until one
day I read a story about Howard Hughes. He was an American billionaire who got anything he wanted. However, in the last twenty years of his life, his health began to deteriorate and he was
miserable. He had the best doctors and nurses. However, he could still find no relief. I realized that health is worth all the money in the world. If you have millions of dollars but your health is poor, you will not be able to do what you want to do. So I would like to say don’t hurt yourself trying to make money instead of taking care of your body and be happy with what you do have. Health is more important.
So I think heath is very important. People can do nothing if they are always in poor health, let
alone happiness. No matter we are rich or not, we can not ignore the importance of health. Today，many people can't be in good health，So，how to keep healthy is very important. I'll
say something about food and health. More and more people are realizing the importance of good health. But how to keep fit? In my opinion, a healthy diet is very important for your health.
Do you know what a healthy diet is?
Firstly, you should have a balanced diet. You may not like eating vegetables. You think they
are not so delicious. But vegetables have a lot of nutrition. They are very good for your health. Secondly, you’d better eat regular meals. You need to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. Regular meals throughout the day give you enough energy to carry out your daily activities. Never skip breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day. Eat bigger meals earlier in the day. Don't have a big dinner. Thirdly, most of you like eating snacks. They may affect your appetite. Besides, too many snacks make you fat.
In a word, if you want to be healthy, you should keep a healthy diet. It is time for us to do

一次，雷锋外出，在沈阳站换车的时候，一出检票口，发现一群人围看一个背着小孩的中年妇女。原来，这位妇女从山东去吉林看丈夫，车票和钱丢了。雷锋赶忙用自己的津贴，买了一张去吉林的火车票，塞到大嫂手里，大嫂含着眼泪说：“大兄弟，你叫什么名字，是哪个单位的？”雷锋说：“我叫解放军，就住在中国”。
同学们，做人，就要记住别人对自己的帮助，就要学会帮助别人。我们应该像雷锋那样，刻苦学习，积极向上，乐于助人，为建设和谐校园贡献自己的力量！ 谢谢大家！
