Nowadays the newspaper possesses considerable value Everybody should read it. It supplies us with a variety of news every day. It tells us the political situation of the world. If we form the habit of reading the newspaper, we shall (will) get enough knowledge to cope with our circumstances.

现今报纸拥有极大的价值，人人都应该看它。它每天提供我们各种类类的消息。它告诉我们世界政治局势。如果我们养成看报的习惯，我们就能得到足够的知识来因应我们的环境。

学生虽然每天须做功课，但他们至少应该匀出一两个小时来看报。哪些，他们不但能增加知识而且也能赶上时代。总而言之，看报对学生很有益处。

第二天：MY DAILY LIFE 我的日常生活

Though my daily life is extremely monotonous, I try hard to adapt myself to it. Why? Because I intend to be a good student. I wish to render service to my country.

I get up at six o’clock every day. After I wash my face and brush my teeth, I begin to review my lessons. I go to school at seven o’clock.

After school is over, I return home. We usually have supper at seven o’ I begin to do my homework. I want to finish it before I go to bed.

虽然我的日常生活十分单调，但我却竭力设法去适应它。为什么?因为我打算做一个好学生，希望将来为国家服务。

我每天六点起床、洗脸刷牙后，就开始复习功课，七点钟我就去上学。

Everyone has a family. We live in it and feel very warm. There are three persons in my family, my mother, father and I. We live together very happily and there are many interesting stories about my family.

My father is a hard-working man. He works as a doctor. He always tries his best to help every, patient and make patients comfortable. But sonetimes he works so hard that he can't remember the date.

My mother is a woman with a bad memory. She always does a lot of housework, but sometimes she makes mistakes out of carelessness. For example, one day, she washed clothes in the washer, after the washer finished the work, she found she hadn't filled the washer with water.

Now let me tell you a funny thing: one day, father wanted to get up early as usual, buthe wasn't able to do that, because he hadn't set the alarm clock the night before, so when he got up, he did everything in a hurry. After father left, mother said to me mysteriously, "He will come back soon." "Why?" I was greatly surprised. "Because today is Sunday, his holiday!" Just as mother said, father came back home soon, and went to bed again--he was too tired.

我的家庭

每个人都有家。我们大家生活在那里，并从那里获取温暖。我们家有三口人，我妈妈、爸爸，还有我。我们在一起幸福地生活，我们家有许多有趣的故事。

我爸爸工作认真。他是一名医生，他总是尽他最大的'努力 去帮助每一位病人，尽力使他们感觉舒服。有的时候，他工作太认真以致于忘了日期。

我妈妈是一位记性很不好的人。她总是做很多家务活，但有时却因为她的粗心而做错事。比如说，有一天，她用洗衣机洗衣服，最后却发现自己忘了在洗衣机中放水。现在让我告诉你一件有趣的事：一天，爸爸想像平常一样早起，但是由于他前天没有设置闹钟，所以他起晚了，当他起床时，他匆匆忙忙地洗漱完毕就去上班了，爸爸离开后，妈妈神秘地对我说：“他一会儿一定会回来的。”“为什么?”我十分惊讶。“因为今天是星期天，他的假日。”妈妈正说着的时候，不一会儿，爸爸就回来了，并且再一次上床睡觉了——因为他太累了。

你瞧，多么有趣的家庭!我希望你也有一个像我一样的家庭。Today was realiy boring.I went nowhere,I just stayed at home because the weather was rain was raining heavily in the there was much dirty water on the ground.

I watched TV,but all the shows were long and long soap operas.I didn't like them!Then I read a book,but they were too difficult for I couldn't get it!Computer games were also difficult and boring...

In short,the day was boring.I flet so bad!

今天可真无聊。我哪儿也没去，就呆在家里，因为今天是雨天。天空中下着倾盆大雨,而且地上汇集着许多污水。我看了电视，但是所有的节目都是长长的电视连续剧，我不喜欢它们!然后我读了一本书，但是它对我来说太深奥了，我无法理解!电脑游戏也很困难而且无聊……

总而言之，今天真无聊。我感觉太差了! The Olynpic Games

The Olympic Games, first held in 776BC, has a history of more than one thousand yiars. The Games is held every four years.

Many countries try their best to bid forhosting the Olympic Games. And every country does its best to get more medals in the Games. In 2000, the city of Sidney held the 27th Olympic Games. Over one hundred countries all over the world took part in it. We won 28gold medals that year. China, a major sport country, will hold the 29th Olympic Games in 2008. People from all walks of life are participating in various activities and making good preparations for it.

There are five rings on the Olympic flag, which are considered to symbolize, the five continents: Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and America. The Olympic motto is: "Swifter, higher, stronger." The Games can promote the understanding and friendship among different peoples and different nations.

奥林匹克运动会

公元前776年首次举办的奥运会，已经有一千多年的历史了。奥运会每四年举办一次。

许多国家尽他们最大的努力争办奥运会。每个国家在运动会中都争取拿更多的奖牌。2000年，悉尼举办了第27届奥运会，全世界100多个国家参加了这次盛会。那年我国获得了28枚金牌。中国作为一个体育大国，将于2008年举办第29届奥运会。各条战线的人们正在为奥运会做着各项准备。

奥运会的会旗上有五个环。五环被认为象征着五大洲：欧洲、亚洲、非洲、澳洲和美洲。奥运会的口号是：“更高，更快，更强。”奥运会能够促进各民族以及各个国家之间的理解和友谊 Housework? Honestly speaking I never do houseworks. My mum does all of them. I hate doing houseworks because it is boring and tiring, and Learning English is boring and tiring enough for me. Whenever my mum ask me to wash dishes for her I shout to her "No Way! Study is already impossibly hard for me and more housework can only drive me closer to madness." That's all I know about housework. 家务?老实说，我从不做家务的。都是我老妈全包了。我讨厌做家务因为又累又无聊!学英语也一样!当我老妈叫我洗碗的时候，我就对她吼道：“没门!学习对我来说已经够要命的了，再加上家务活，只会让我更接近崩溃的边缘!”以上就是我对家务的理解。
