一、序数词——由基数词转变而来，表示“这是第几个”

1.口诀巧记基数词变序数词：“一、二、三，要全变;其余都加th;th里有例外;八去“t”;九去“e”;“ve”要用“f”替，见“y”变成“i”和“e”，词尾加上“th”;若是遇到几十几，只变个位就可以。”第一、第二、第三分别：first，second，third，eight—eighth nine—ninth，five—fifth，twelve—twelfth，twenty—twentieth，forty—fortieth，twenty-five—twenty-fifth。

2.序数词有时用缩写形式：

阿拉伯数字+序数词末尾两个字母(只有1st，2nd;3rd为特殊形式，其他都是th)

二、序数词的基本用法

1.序数词在句子中时，前面一般要加定冠词：

如：I like the second dog.

2.有时前面可以加一个不定冠词a/an来表示“再一”， “又一”这样的`意思：

We’ll have to do it a second time.

3.基数词也可以表示顺序，要将基数词放在名词之后：

the first part------part one

the third lesson------lesson three

特殊数字的表示法

(一)年 月 日表示法 1. 年代、年代前用 in. 1961 读作 in nineteen sixty-one 1905 读作in nineteen and five 2. 月份，表示“在某月”时， 月份前面用 in

in January

3. 日期“ 在某日”，前面用介词on.;用序数词前面需要加the;

(二)时刻表示法

1.整点：用基数词+o’clock的方法来表达。如：He gets up at 6 o’clock.

2.如说几点几分，用下面的方法

(1)直接读法：先读小时，后读分钟。如：3:25 three twenty-five

(2)>30分钟时，表示几点差几分，用介词to， two to seven

7:45 a quarter to eight

8:42 eighteen to nine

注:上午可以用am表示,下午用pm表示，例如：

9：50am 11：05pm

3.分数词是以基数词和序数词合成的，基数词代表分子，序数词代表分母，除了分子是“1”的情况外，序数词都是用复数，(分子用基数词，分母用序数词，分子大于“1”，分母则加“s”)如：

1/4 one-fourth 2/3 two-thirds 7/9 seven-ninths 5/12 five-twelfths

2.另外还有下面一些表示法：

1/2 (one) a half 1/4 a (one ) quarter 3/4 three-quarters

4“大约”用about, around, nearly等

the box weights (重)about 50 pounds(磅).这个箱子重约50磅。

一般将来时主要用于：

表示将要发生的动作或情况

e.g. Tom will have a bike of his own.

与这个时态连用的时间状语常用：

tonight, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, next week, in three hours, two days later 等。

一般将来时态与其它结构表将来情况的区别：

一般将来时态 ：主要从时间的角度表将要发生的动作或情况。

be going to 结构 ：①表(主观上)打算或准备做某事时。 ②表有发生某事的预兆时。

e.g. They are going to have a competition with us in studies. It is going to rain.

据以上区别，故下面一句是错的：

I am going to be eighteen years old next year.

应改为： I shall be eighteen years old next year.

be about to do sth 结构 ：意为“刚要做某事”、“马上要做某事”强调时间之紧迫性。

e.g. We are about to discuss this problem.

我们将马上讨论这个问题。

be to do sth 结构： 表示按计划、安排、规定将实施某事或表示注定会发生某事。
